|此笔笔管为紫檀制成，通体浅浮雕云龙纹，龙张嘴作咆哮状，眼睫清晰，龙须微撇，身躯矫健有力，整体风格写实，生动传神。毛笔笔毫齐整，笔锋健长，可知书写中运笔流畅柔婉。此笔雕刻精美，纹饰构图虽繁但密而不乱，层次清晰，极为精致，与现藏于北京故宫博物院的明万历檀香木雕龙凤纹管花毫笔的形制工艺类似，可为参考。
