水盂为供磨墨的盛水器。宋龙大渊《古玉图谱》：“水丞贮砚水的小盂。亦名水中丞”。文献记载要早于砚滴，但目前所见实物以魏晋时为最早。其形状多为圆口，鼓腹，亦有塑成象生形。与砚滴的最大区别是有注水口而无出水口。以玉、瓷、紫砂等常见。此品白玉材质，莹润光亮，致密莹泽，并伴有红褐或黑色长短牛毛沁。方斗形，倭角，上窄下宽，方形开口，打磨圆润精细，给人大器小作精巧之感。四面开光，内减地浮雕变形夔龙纹。置于案头，古意盎然。
