题识：庚申秋日，为稷山年亲家。汤密。||钤印：汤密之印、闻自 |说明：汤密，字入林，号个中人、闻自。江苏通州（今南通）人。著名闺秀画家。工诗，擅兰竹。墨竹宗文同。笔墨清丽，秀雅天真，无矫揉造作之气。尤长于管道升一脉“幽篁丛竹”之布景，其技法成熟老练，竹叶饱满浓密，向背分明，撇叶有势。乾隆二十一年（1756）曾作《竹石图》轴，南京博物院亦藏其作品。参见《扬州画舫录》、《如皋县志》。
