Curvaceous covering with slender circular finial mate perfectly to the top of the vessel. Open-works carved archaic scrolling motif creates the handle, with a boy beneath a climbing tiger. On opposite side, a free ring ornamentation dangling beneath the spout supported by crouching fox. The exterior carved in relief with arrays of scrolling rococo tendrils simulating the Taotie mask of the seeing eyes. The cup raised on a splayed foot base above carved hardwood base. The jade shows moist milky appearance, with beautiful pale-celadon iridescent and hints of sporadic golden russet inclusions. Condition Overall in EXCELLENT condition.
