The slender body gently rising from the foot and curving to a well-defined shoulder, surmounted by a short neck and beveled mouth rim, freely slip-painted in overglaze iron-oxide around the exterior in rich russet tones with peony blooms, all reserved on a lustrous metallic black ground, the unglazed base revealing grayish stoneware, 13.8 inch high.
