A SMALL CHINESE BLANC DE CHINE BOTTLE VASEKANGXI 1662-1722The body with a tall flared neck, encircled by a chilong with a bifurcated tail, all raised on a short circular foot, 12cm. Provenance: a Hong Kong private collection, from the Bindley Collection, sold in these rooms on 15th July 2006, lot 541.Cf. G Lang, The Wrestling Boys: An Exhibition of Chinese and Japanese Ceramics from the 16th to the 18th Century in the collection of Burghley House, p.88, no.227, for a similar vase in Burghley House, Stamford, inventory of 1688. Also see J Ayers, The Koger Collection, no.148. A similar vase was inventoried in the Dresden collection of Augustus the Strong before 1726.
