A CHINESE BLANC DE CHINE GU-SHAPED VASE 17TH CENTURYThe plain body with a flared rim and foot, the central section between twin raised bands, 27cm. Provenance: a Hong Kong private collection, sold in these rooms on 15th July 2006, lot 529.Cf. A similar piece sold in the Hatcher Collection Christie's Amsterdam, lot 314, and another, found in the tomb of Wan Li is mentioned by Richard S Kilburn in 'Transitional Wares and their Forerunners, p.217.
