Finely potted with a quatre-lobed pear shaped body tapering to a narrow neck to a lobed mouth rim, freely inscribed around the body with a calligraphy poem written in running script, the neck with upright plantains with a 'classic' scroll band inside the rim, a border of petal lappets enclosing 'cloud' motifsàabove a 'classic' scroll encircling the foot, the underglaze blue of characteristic greyish toneàwell accented with areas of 'heaping and piling', the base glazed, 12.6 inch high.
