Carved as the well-hollowed vessel, supported on two blade-shaped feet and a long bifurcated tail handle, carved with high relief archaistic bands and a phoenix underneath the mouth,the stone of pale celadon tone with russet inclusions. Height 7 1/4 in. Provenance: private collector from Vancouver, Canada, who purchased from Mr. Hiroto Tanaka, Japanese private collector, Kyoto, Japan, in 2005.
