Sturdily potted in a tall shaped vase with a narrow mouth on a small neck resting on high and broad shoulders, tapering off to a shallow ring foot. The underglazed bulbous body, decorated with hand-painting in copper red underglaze, depicted vigorous phoenix striding amidst flowers. The foot encircled with upturning lappets.. Height 13 in.
