A belt plaque, Inner or Outer Mongolia, 2nd century BC-1st century AD, depicting two men wrestling, their horses behind them, 6 x 10cm Note: Wrestling has always been a national sport for the peoples living in North of China and beyond, and it is possible that this plaque represent an episode from an heroic legend. This design of plaque has been found only on Xiongnu sites and is typical of the Xiongnu aesthetic style.
