A 19th C commemorative porcelain cup and saucer with gilded borders. The saucer inscribed in Dutch: Cpden Go**f 20 Februari 1856. Coded message in a variation of the Masonic cipher (pigpen cipher) to bottom of cup. Supposedly says: Forget me not, JB. A French shaving mug decorated with gilt acacia flanking the central Freemason symbols of the square and compass and G, and initialed R.M. Webber. Marks to base for Tressemann & Vogt Limoges France. Together with a cased Englishstraight razor with horn handle and blade engraved with Masonic symbols. Made by Wade & Butcher Sheffield. H. of shaving mug: 8.9 cm (3 1/2 in.)
