款识：岑春煊谨肃。十月三十日。 |备注：此信当作于1912年前后。辛亥革命胜利，满清政府被推翻，光绪帝崇陵工程因无资金支持被迫停工。信中岑春煊致电“大总统”当为袁世凯。称时崇陵已停工一年，随有遗老名士捐款，但杯水车薪，“停工日久恐昔日已成之基渐就陊剥”，希望袁世凯政府能拨款支持崇陵修建得以早日竣工。
