|圆形，圆钮，圆钮座。钮座外四枚圆座乳丁将主纹饰分为四区，分别饰有两人两兽纹饰，具体刻画为一人抚琴、一人侧耳倾听，一熊一蟾蜍同向舞蹈，是描写“伯牙鼓琴、子期吟唱”的故事。主纹饰外饰有一圈铭文带，铭文为“袁氏作镜世少有，白〔伯〕牙鼓瑟子期吟，长乐无极如后宫，千秋万世终身无患子孙”铭文带外饰有一圈斜线纹，两圈锯齿纹。|此镜纹饰浮雕而成，刻画细致，棱角分明。纹饰生动写实，构图饱满，内容详实，形象极为分明。铭文与纹饰相呼应，题材属于首见。
