1st-2nd century AD. A green glass flask with tapering neck and conical mouth, rolled rim; the body formed as a juvenile head with flange to the neck-seam. Cf. Lightfoot, C.S. Ancient Glass in National Museums Scotland, Edinburgh, 2007, item 240 for type. 100 grams, 16cm (6 1/4"). From the private collection of a Canadian gentleman; from his father's collection formed 1965 - 1990. Very fine condition.
