Meiji Period, 1868-1912 AD. A group of three Japanese wood block prints by Hiroshige, mounted in a single frame. 1.8 kg, 64 x 34.5cm (25 x 13 1/2"). From an old Lincoln collection. Utagawa Hiroshige (or And? Hiroshige) was a Japanese artist, considered the last great master of the Ukiyo-e tradition. He is known for his horizontal-format landscape series The Fifty-three Stations of the T?kaid? and for his vertical-format landscape series One Hundred Famous Views of Edo. Fine condition.
