A carved schist frieze fragment depicting Buddha standing beneath a leafy frond, both hands raised before his face; mounted on a custom-made stand. 3 kg, 32.5cm including stand (12 3/4"). Property of a Middlesex collector; acquired on the London art market before 2000; formerly in an old English collection. Fine condition.
