1st century BC-2nd century AD. A large iron axehead with flanged socket and two lateral blades, one short and with curved edge, the other longer with gentler curvature. 1.8 kg, 37cm (14 1/2"). Property of an Essex collector; formerly with a North London gallery; previously acquired in the 1990s. Fair condition.
