14th-15th century AD. A silver finger ring comprising a keeled D-section hoop with scooped shoulders and median scooped parcel-gilt bezel, 'IC XC' to the shoulders and voided cross between. Cf. Chadour, A.B. Rings. The Alice and Louis Koch Collection, volume I, Leeds, 1994, item 573 for type. 7.94 grams, 25.4mm overall, 18.6mm internal diameter (approximate size British Q 1/2, USA 8 1/4, Europe 18.12, Japan 17").
