A black terracotta vase with flat base, biconvex body, everted rim, integral strap handle; formed as an anthropomorphic vessel with face in relief to the neck, stylised hair, and prominent features, two arms to the shoulder. 705 grams, 20cm (8"). Property of a Mayfair lady; formerly in an important London collection formed since 1965. Fine condition.
