是书系清代名刻，内收洪武四年至万历三十五年状元77人。每人附以小传，并配以生平故事插图76帧。版图雕刻极为精致，线条细腻传神，人物栩栩如生，眉宇间每位状元夺魁时之英气尽显，代表了清代中期版刻的最高水平。所附《国朝三元喜诗》内收清高宗纯皇帝辛丑御殿传胪六韵及仁宗睿皇帝庚辰御殿传胪恭依皇考辛丑诗韵，诗韵后收翁方纲、阮元等数十大臣所作五言、七言恭和诗律。通篇手书上版，刊印俱佳。老装旧貌，触手如新。
