以端溪半边山石入砚，作一字池，线条洗练挺拔，抄手边墙高耸，覆手内留高矮参差眼柱十数根，柱端各存石眼一枚，以作垂星。此砚用料考究，端石质地细腻温润，表现手法古雅端庄，是为明代抄手砚之精品。
