Group of 3 Meiji era Japanese fish baskets, also called ajiro kago [bamboo basket], made of woven bamboo strips and carved wooden caps. The baskets are generally of an elliptical shape with a wooden block affixed to their bottoms, and carrying ropes. Dimensions are: largest - 8 1/2 inches high X 5 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Surface wear and dust, largest basket bamboo cap is splitting slightly.
