The vase is composed of two slender barrel-shaped vases decorated with scrolling flowers on a turquoise ground. The exterior is decorated in an archaistic style in gilt bronze with fixed-ring beast head handles, lappet bands, a dragon clambering to one side, and a mythical winged creature upright handle to the other.
