EXTRAORDINARY TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE, PUNCH TIFFANY & CO. NEW YORK 1860/1872
elements chiseled to ivy, twisted racemes, palmette and vegetal motifs. Initials of family on the body, handles with separators. Consisting of Samovar, teapot, coffeepot, milk jug and two sucriers.
Period of the direction of John Chandler Moore.

John Chandler Moore, one of the best silversmiths in New York, began the production of silver in exclusive for Tiffany & Co in the 1851. To the production of his company we can attribute the Samovar of this service, realized around 1858 for the Tiffany shop at 550 Broadway in New York. The remain of the service in 1870 has been realized for the shop of Union Square, always under the direction of John Chandler Moore, when has company had been acquired by Tiffany in 1868

John Chandler Moore, uno dei migliori argentieri di New York, iniziò la produzione di argenti in esclusiva per Tiffany & Co nel 1851. Alla produzione della sua azienda possiamo attribuire il Samovar di questo servizio, realizzato intorno al 1858 per il negozio Tiffany al 550 Broadway di New York.
