此镜黑漆古，版模光气均属一流，镜体厚重，保存完整。纹饰尤为特殊，单龙浮雕而成，单角怒目，神态夸张。体躯呈托举跪拜状，羽翅麟毛皆精，造型灵动，威猛霸气。该龙前爪托举三足宝鼎，做进献状，尾部亦饰三足双耳鼎。《史记·封禅书》载：“ 黄帝采首山铜，铸鼎于荆山下。鼎既成，有龙垂胡须下迎黄帝 ”，似与此有关。该镜极罕。
