Ca.300 AD. Beautiful upper life-size head showing a lovely head of a goddess in grey-brown schist typical to the Swat Valley. The finely crafted head is that of a woman with a full and oval face, long hair with well-defined strands falling to the shoulders, beautifully wrapped in a turban. The hairstyle is of Greek inspiration, depicting nicely curled and locks which are fastened high up into a bun placed atop the skull. The back of the sculpture is flat; it would have been affixed to the wall of a Stupa.
