A terracotta figural plaque with press-moulded boss, raised circular rim of egg-and-dart decoration with emerging bust of Cupid(?) with quiver slung over his shoulder, left hand gripping a torch, right hand raised with forefinger pressed to the mouth, headdress of laurel leaves; mounted on a custom-made stand. 133 grams, 15cm (6"). From an old Tokyo collection; previously the property of a Japanese gentleman since the early 1990s. [No Reserve]
