A gold bracteate with rolled beaded rim and integral suspension loop, repoussé image of two facing busts (sisters?) with chevron-ornamented tunics and dressed hair, two small applied cells each with a black glass cabochon. 2.64 grams, 29mm (1 1/4"). From the Wilkinson collection, Nottinghamshire, formed since 1985; previously acquired from an elderly collector in 2008/9 as part of a large collection of mainly coins and medals; said to have been passed down through his family.
