A matched pair of gold earrings each comprising an amphora-shaped plaque with cabochon garnet and granulated border, wound wire neck and scrolled handles connected with links above and below to two disc plaques each with filigree ropework collar and central cabochon garnet, connected by a short gold chain. Cf. Marshall, F.H. Catalogue of the Jewellery, Greek, Etruscan and Roman, in the Department of Antiquities, British Museum, London, 1911, item 2607. 17 grams total, 68mm (2 3/4").
