6th-8th century AD. A silvered bronze pelta-shaped mount with stamped decoration and three iron securing pins. Recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme under reference YORYM-3EB11F. 14.2 grams, 30mm (1"). Found Bainton, near Beverley, East Yorkshire, UK; accompanied by a copy of the Portable Antiquities Scheme report number YORYM-3EB11F. A similar mount was found attached to the bronze bowl from Lullingstone, Kent.
