A Romanesque bronze fitting comprising a central ovoid bulb with a loop at each end, each formed as a round-section bar attached to the bulb by two Romanesque animal heads; shallow incision to the circumference. The fitting clearly belongs to the same kind of leash or strap furniture suite seen on Anglo-Norman swivel mounts, but lacks the rotating elements and is three to four times heavier than the swivels.
