A rectangular icon painted in tempera on a wooden panel depicting Mary Theotokos and the infant Jesus, provided with a silver-coloured metal riza (oklad) with repoussé ornament including geometric border, draped figure of Mary and standing infant with mantle to the shoulder, decorative arch above, separate radiant nimbus; the riza with voids to reveal the faces and hands of the figures, and infant's feet.
