A Chinese, porcelain vase of globular form tapering upwards to a straight narrow trumpet neck & rim, the exterior covered with open blue floral scroll on a ground of yellow with a lapis band around the base, & undulating scroll around the short foot, the interior & underside white, marked with six blue characters within concentric rings. H: 14 1/4" (36.2cm) Provenance: collection of an important Washington collector acquired in 1956 Condition: A significant & clumsily repaired break to the mouth, with a hole drilled in the base.
