Two Mongolian amulet boxes, Gau
The first is a small pyramid-form amulet box containing a small clay tablet of the seated Buddha Matreiya, the Buddha of the Future, the box is decorated with a lotus-petal border. The second is a painting of Shakyamuni holding an alms bowl seated on a single lotus base, kept within a rectangular box.
