玉琮为玉器六瑞之一，是中国古代重要的礼器，常用于祭祀，其外方内圆象征天地贯通。新石器中晚期，在江浙一带的良渚文化、广东石峡文化、山西陶寺文化中都有出现，其中尤以良渚文化的玉琮文化最为发达。良渚玉琮作为良渚文化的典型器物，因其具有精美绝伦的纹饰和重要的历史价值，以及巨大的艺术魅力，自古就被嗜玉者所追捧。此玉琮，质地极佳，白玉已经部分泌成鸡骨白，器身光素无纹。其器型规整，外表呈正方形柱体，琮壁厚薄均匀，温润无比。参阅：北京拍卖，2015年12月6日，拍品1004号，明代以前“玉琮”，高5.2cm，成交价37.95万元
