A SMALL ICON SHOWING CHRIST PANTOKRATOR WITH A SILVER PARCEL-GILT RIZA Russian, early 20th century (icon), Russian, Moscow, 1908-1917 (riza) Oil on wood panel with velvet backing. Represented frontal, half-length, blessing and bearing the Book of Gospels, painted realistically with warm colours. The border of the silver riza with repoussé foliate patterns. The halo set with cabochons. Marked with assayer's mark, 84 standard and master's mark 'SG' in Cyrillic. Minimally restored. 17.8 x 14.4 cm.
