FINE 'RED' YIXING GOLD-MOUNTED SQUARE-SECTION TEAPOT, KANGXI PERIOD, LATE 17TH CENTURY, with a curved spout and conforming handle, the square body moulded on each side with birds in flight above flower, the canted corners with cloud motifs, the base with a wei he seal mark, the gold mounts also of the period, 10cm high Provenance: Christie's South Kensington, 9th September 2004.
