An ellipsoid jasper plaque with intaglio altar flanked by fronds, topped by a heron(?); mounted in a later hollow-formed gold ring. 4.39 grams, 23.88mm overall, 19.43mm internal diameter (approximate size British R, USA 8 1/2, Europe 18 3/4, Japan 18) (1"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired by his father in the 1970s; thence by descent.
