A substantial silver ring comprising a thick D-section hoop with lateral vertical ribbing, stepped shoulders, concentric ribbed rings to the plaque with central disc later inscribed 'PFABI'. Cf. Ruseva-Slokoska, L. Roman Jewellery, Sofia, 1991, item 211 for type. 33 grams, 31.19mm overall, 22.14x19.26mm internal diameter (approximate size British S, USA 9 1/4, Europe 20.38, Japan 19.22) (1 1/4"). Property of a gentleman; acquired in the late 1960s-early 1970s.
