A carved black jasper cylinder seal with a bearded king facing a goddess in a flounced robe, smaller figure and shepherd's crook between, facing female with hands to her chest, two columns of cuneiform text. Cf. Collon, D. First Impressions. Cylinder Seals in the Ancient Near East, London, 2005, item 776 for type. 6.36 grams, 25mm (1"). Property of a West Yorkshire collector; formerly property of a South West London gentleman; acquired by his father in the 1970s; by descent 1986. Accompanied by a museum-quality impression.
