A large matched pair of substantial bronze hasps, each a right-angled upper plate and hinge section, ring-and-dot detailing within a frame, tiered arcade above a D-section column with volute capital and domed hand, finial; two pierced lugs to the reverse; inset bone plaques one with nude Hercules and serpent and the other with helmetted bust. 614 grams total, 20cm (8"). Property of a London, UK collector; acquired London market, 1990s. [2]
