Circa 1500 AD. A vellum leaf from a Latin Antiphony with large bold printed text (minim = 16mm tall) and red stave with musical notation. 88.2 grams, 54cm (21 1/4"). Ex Swiss collection; acquired 1980s. An abbreviated and partly paraphrased section of the Credo translated as '(for us he) suffered under Pontius Pilate and was buried. On the third day he resurrected according to the Scvriptures and ascended into heaven seated at the right hand of the Father. In the future he shall come again.'
