A silver disc bearing a naively incised depiction of a man's face, bearded, with mournful expression; above, the Latin legend 'REX MORT' (The King Is Dead'); possibly a reference to the execution of Charles I in 1649; four groups of three piercings each to the outer edge. 7.60 grams, 50mm (2"). Private collection, South West England; acquired in the 1990s.
