Lustrous, Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Qianlong pierced dragon motif celadon glazed amphora vase. The porcelain potted in amphora vase, wide ovoid belly, thick, shoulder tapering to straight neck, sturdily potted in a baluster jar, with tall cylindrical stick neck, flared opening mouth rim, emerging two archaic dragon flanked from the neck toward shoulder, create majestic handles, raised on short cylindrical, with concave flaring foot base. All reserved in Douqing glaze, in pale-turquoise- olive green celadon underglaze ground, the green glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human pale white skin. The immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze, amazing crackling effect throughout the underglaze which produces fantastic a smooth textured surface. The main body decorated with open carved flowers blooms in a center medallion, among scrolling tendril and foliage surround the vase. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process, and the receded central interior base left white underglaze.
