宋代以来，文人有于案头几侧插花之习，装点室内空间，其中花插瓶口较小，宜于插作简单的小品。拍品以整块紫檀木精制而成，入手沉实。全器作葵花形，束颈，线条自肩部直泻而下，造型亦似观音手持之净水瓶，花形起线凹凸起伏，棱瓣分明，过渡自然圆融。选材精心，工艺考究，为同类器中精细之作。参阅：《中国佛教版画全集》，第三十六卷，中国书店，2017年，页29
