圆形，圆钮，变形如意纹钮座。一周凹棱外饰四组“TLV”纹，分四区。分饰青龙、白虎、朱雀、玄武、山羊、羽人、金乌、玉蟾等瑞兽。其间有8颗乳钉，乳钉皆圆钮座。主区外一周铭文：“尚方御镜大毋伤，左龙右虎辟不羊，朱鸟玄武顺阴阳，子孙备具居中央，长保二亲乐富昌”。此镜镜纹饰细密，线条灵动，铭文字口清晰爽利，版工上佳。“御镜”铭者少见。极具收藏价值。
