阿弥陀佛是主持西方极乐世界的教主，在我国民间广受欢迎，主要归功于《阿弥陀经》中对西方净土的渲染。此像身躯挺拔，面相丰满，微露笑意，表情慈祥。身着大衣，下着僧裙。衣缘边角处装饰有细密的缠枝莲纹饰，双手于脐前结禅定印。结跏趺坐于莲花座上。整体制作工艺精美，形体饱满，是明代晚期中原佛造像的精品。
