LARGE TRIPOD BRAZIER IN PARTITIONED ENAMELS ON BRONZE
China, Qing Dynasty, 18th-19th century
Circular, with a deep central bowl and flattened broad lip, it rests on three curved legs. It is decorated with enamels partitioned on copper with foliage scrolls and lotus flowers mainly. A lotus on the outside is equidistant from two feet and thus gives the sense of the piece. Below, a dense network of threads drawing triangles animated with plum flowers. Centering the bottom, a blooming chrysanthemum (missing a screw for fixing a foot, probably missing a cover).
H: 20 cm - D: 43.5 cm
Note: Beautifully fresh colours.
Comparison: For a similar but wider (65 cm) fire model, with its cover and dating from the Ming period, see Christie's Paris, 20/06/2017, lot 103.
