A matching pair of large, Chinese, porcelain vases, ovid with twin pairs of Buddhist Lion handles set at either side of the tall waisted necks, these rising to the gallaried rims. The interiors & undersides (unmarked) both white, the exteriors with a pale green glaze further painted in blue & white with scenes of a scholar in a stony garden with four boys (this mirrored/ the left & right reversed between the pair of vases) H: 24" (61cm) Condition: One in excellent condition, the other with a hairline crack at the lower rear.
